Contact: James Jackson - 609 504 6762 About Studio 5 South: Studio 5 South is a collective arrangement originally between seven founding members organized together by Philadelphia fashion photographer James Jackson (http://www.raveneyes.com) to provide affordable studio space to the members. We are located in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia at two locations. Our first location, Studio 5 South at 3237 Amber Street, and our second location DogParc Studio at 430 E. Allegheny Ave. The neighborhood reminds us of SOHO in New York, before the buyout. The creative energy in the building is bustling and bursting and we are constantly inspired by our neighbors and the city we work in. Both of the studios are 2000+/- sq. ft. spaces. They are available for daily and half day rental. The half day rate is $75 and includes 4 hours of studio time. The full day rate is $150 and includes up to 10 hours of studio time. Additional hours are $20/hour. Access to two freight elevators (8000 lbs carrying capacity) and a passenger elevator at Studio 5 South. Both locations include access to fire escape landings, views of Philadelphia and Northern Philadelphia, daylight or blackout shooting, 15' ceilings, hardwood floors, a sitting area, and rest rooms. We also have a full catalogue of equipment available for rent. Everything from backdrops to lighting to the latest digital rig. Equipment rental is a separate cost from the studio itself. Additionally we occasionally run meet & greet events, classes, and group shooting events for photographers and models. Make a right on Allegheny Avenue and an immediate right on Amber Street. The studio entrance is on the right hand side of the street before the stop sign and is marked 3237. From the North: Take Take 95 south to the Allegheny Avenue exit. At the bottom of the ramp make a right hand turn on to Allegheny Avenue. Proceed straight on Allegheny Avenue and make a right on Amber Street. From Central and Northern New Jersey: Take the NJ Turnpike to Exit 4 - 73 North - Camden/Philadelphia. Follow signs for the Betsy Ross Bridge/90 West. Merge on to 95 South and follow directions from the North. Via mass transit: Studio 5 South is four blocks South East of Septa's Allegheny station on the Market - Frankford line. From anywhere in Philadelphia, take Septa to the nearest stop on the Market - Frankford line (also known as the El). Take the line eastbound towards Frankford, and get off at the Allegheny station. Exit the station and proceed down Allegheny Ave *away* from Kensington Ave four blocks. Make a left on Amber Street. Enter at the door marked 3237 on the right hand side of the street.
